About us
Acts 20:24 (NASB) reads, “But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.”
Willie R. Smith
This scripture is the heartbeat of who I am. At my core, I am a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and deeply committed to the calling He has placed on my life.
Roots of Love and Faith
My journey began in Shiloh, Georgia. I was raised in a home filled with the love of my mother and seven older sisters. My late mother was the rock and foundation of our family; despite the hardships we faced, the anchor of her love left a lasting imprint on my soul and prepared the soil for the seeds of faith.
A Defining Surrender
The trajectory of my life changed at age 15 during a revival service. I sensed a powerful, undeniable call from God, and in that moment, I chose to fully surrender my life to Christ.
Though I didn’t yet grasp the full magnitude of that decision, I knew deep down that something had fundamentally shifted. As I walked out my faith in the years that followed, my understanding matured. I began to realize the true depth of God’s saving grace and the sheer beauty of the new life He had given me.
Identity in Christ
Years later, a deeper truth took hold of my heart through 1 Corinthians 15:10. I realized that I am fully accepted by God—not because of my past or my own efforts, but because of who I am now in Christ Jesus, without reservation and forever.
God has continued to refine this calling, showing me that my personal surrender was always intended to lead to something greater: helping others find that same freedom.
The Vision: New Creation517
In 2017, that calling took form through New Creation517. This ministry is devoted to awakening hearts to their true identity in Christ. We are dedicated to calling people out of the “old life” and into the reality of who they have already been made to be.
Today, I continue to walk this path with a singular conviction: to finish the course set before me. My mission is to proclaim the gospel of grace and help others live—not in striving, but in surrender. We no longer walk in the shadow of the old, but in the fullness of the new creation, awaiting the total restoration of His Kingdom.
